Business as UNusual

By The Innovator Trust on 13 Jun 23

Business as UNusualThis June, we’re ushering in Youth Month with new energy. South African youth have historically come to be known as risk takers, history makers and fierce challengers of the status quo. This is no different in 2023 where the battle facing the youth is more dire than ever.

Yet despite the intimidating and harsh realities our youth are forced to contend with, our young people remain resolute in their drive to survive against all odds. In a world that is currently in flux across all sectors and industries, and as we navigate our way through an age where traditional modes of life, business and societal foundations are being shaken, our youth have been UNapologetic and UNafraid in their fight, speaking up for their beliefs and ideas, and demanding greater recognition and representation at the decision making table where their futures are at stake.

Business as UNusual

This Youth Month, we, the Innovator Trust, stand in solidarity with our youth as we launch a new campaign that seeks to highlight Business as UNusual.

We believe in the youth of South Africa, in their UNusual, innovative thinking, and in their UNrelenting persistence and ability to build something from nothing. We admire their innate power to create movements of positive change, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible and in so doing, forcing society to take note and listen up.

Through our Youth Entrepreneurship Programme (YEP), we are here to support the growth of our youth. Through exposure to technology, we help them break down limiting barriers and  through our training and mentorship, we aim to add fuel to their fire, pushing them further with the skills, tools and knowledge they’ll need when the going gets tough. We believe in the better tomorrow that our youth envision.
